does anyone use CRT anymore for their main computer?

i do, i think it looks better plus it costs like 20% of the price of an LCD

I like my 22" HP1230 Flat Diamondtron CRT(uses nec/mitsu tube).
Much better for graphics / video, and game usage than LCD IMHO. :p

I use both. The LCD looks alot better for most things except for gaming.

For gaming the CRT works best for me because the slightest ghosting just seems to throw me off a little probably because I've used a CRT for years to game. Any video editing would also be better on the CRT because of trueness of color (I have the NEC FP955, the professional model comes with the spider-ma-jig). But for any programming I have to use my dell 2005 or the CRT's refreshing fries my brain and I get headaches and weird nervous twitches. I used to have to take breaks while using a CRT for programming now I can program 8 hours straight or more on an LCD. Also deskspace liberation is very nice with lcds the NEC FP955 pretty much takes up most of the deskspace and I have to have my keyboard directly in front of my monitor so I had to screw a keyboard holder-slidey dealy under my desk if I want to use the CRT.

They both of their advantages/disadvantages.

:D If you have room on your desk and you love clarity, get a high end CRT. Diamondtron or trinitron!!! I love them! :D
