CRT - Refresh Rate question...

I'm a little weary on this now. I've been using a CRT with 120 hz (NEC MultiSync FE1250+ Trinitron technology) for a while now. And I've been thinking-- would the high 120 hz refresh rate damage the monitor or wear it out quickly? Any information on this would be helpful. Thank you.

While I could see how this might be true for running your monitor at its max resolution and max refresh rate for years and years, I don't think you will experience any problem with running at 120 Hz, so do your eyes a favor and keep it there.
 
If it's within what the monitor will do "normal", you are fine....
 
That's the reason why I asked. I care for my own eyes. I've had it run 120 Hz for actually 3 years now. I don't even think its quality is degrading at all. I run it at 1024 x 768 which is far from the maximum too. So, it was simply a make-sure-you-ask-before-you-keep-doing-it question.

BTW, I did try 85 Hz. I couldn't stand it. But for some reason, I could find 43 Hz/Interlaced fine. lol.
