CRT Repeating Lines - 955DF
Hello, i was wondering if anyone here on hardForum could assist me with diagnoising, and hopefully correcting this CRT monitors display problem.
I'm seeing tracing of objects, usually dark on light, to the top right. This problem is replicable without the crt being plugged into a computer. By itself, unplugged for a video source, in standby operation this problem exists..
I think I have seen this problem elsewhere brought up, on the internet, regarding other late model crt monitors (a Sony Trinitron, I think it was, and another Samsung), but i havnt seen a resolution yet posted. My CRT is a Samsung Dynaflat Shadow Mask model.
I'd like to see this one in regular working order. This is one of my few performance displays, 10 bit color depth, 85 frames per second, strong gama(due to greater than ips viewing angles and lack of lighting bias..), under a millisecond actuation rate.. blurless. I cannot explain how fantastic is to use this in a controlled light enviroment, compared to my lcd's, and what a shame the problem it has is.
I may keep the unit for awhile, I may give it away to someone who could use it, and will appreciate it's qaulities, but i wont give it away in it's present condition... Especially since it is one of my primary displays at the moment, along with an oled, a late generation plasma, and a few lcd's, of various grades, 8 bit ips panels, FHD, pva's, ccfl's, led's. Amplitude width modulations ect. AND I judge this budget crt superior (overall) to all of them! Including my image retaining oled..! hahahaha
Yeah I'll come here for help, and i'll start a little ruckis too, call me Jacorby!~
I look forward to hopefully finding a resolution to this problem.
I'd also like to point out, this problem doesn't occur on high contrast primary color themes. For example green text on black does not replicate this problem.. Blue on black does not replicate this problem, red on black does not replicate this problem. However, black text on a cyan blue title-bar does.
