Hey all, so as the title suggests i appear to have a problem with my Crossover, i got in May of last year and have slowly in the past couple of months started to notice this blotch appearing on the screen...its been growing steadily.

It appears when the monitor is first turned on and then fades over time, to a point where it is to my eye almost completely gone.

The image isn't great as i was keen to post i'll throw up another when it gets dark.

Just wondering if anyone might be able to tell me what could be causing the problem and if there's anything i can do myself to remedy, its outside its warranty now and to be honest i don't think i would have sent it back to china either way, i'm more than happy to open the thing up and have a tinker though :)

I did search through the forums but the Schimian thread is a bit of a monster now and outside of that i couldn't find anything dealing with this problem in particular.

thanks in advance folks :)

To me, it sounds like backlight bleed that goes away because as the panel warms up, it is no longer longer pressing against the housing of the monitor.

It's really hard to tell from the photo though.

Thanks for the reply Vittra, will post another pic shortly, just waiting for the sun to go down :)

Here's that second image, not great but i think you can see what's going on a bit more clearly...

again any advice is appreciated.

Water/moisture damage? Doesn't quite look like a lighting problem as they're usually darker and more apparent.

Very odd though either way.
