do I need to have two crossfire bridges connected to use my 4870 and 4850 properly in mixed crossfire or will just one work correctly...? I only have one connected atm...

thanks, it's working but I just wondered if there was a little better performance with both bridges connected...

You only need one, cards have 2 bridge spots for when you daisy chain more than 2 cards.

For example the middle card in a 3 card set up would need 2 bridges, a bridge to card 1, and a bridge to card 3.

okay, thanks, because one of the early crossfire articles that I read to help setup my mixed crossfire and a few message board posts mentioned connecting both bridges...
