I have x1800xt crossfire setup and im having tons of problems. First off my screen flickers lines all over it. Its freaking annoying. Second off i see no performance increase in games. I actually see a decrease, and it runs terrible. In 3dmark 2005 its fast. I get 13.8K and looks great but in games and everything else its crap. I dont know whats wrong with this. ANyone have any suggestions?

Im playing quake 4, COD 2, farcry, half life 2. I see no performance increase in any games. All i see is annoying refresh rate crap. IM really pissed right now. Im using 4X AA - Adapative and 16x AF HQ. Adapative doesnt affect performance and 16x AF is fine. No matter what i do it doesnt make any difference. Only in 3dmark 2005 it does. Its like its there for looks. I dont know whats up. Im using Windows X64 also if that has any effect on it
Im thinking that also, but i tried 5.12's, 5.13's same exact score and acts the same. I dont understand because i know the card has amazing potential. Even when im playing i can go from 4x to 12x even 14x and not even a noticeble drop. just looks ten times better.
figured out COD2. When i enable /r_multigpu from 0 to 1 it runs perfect. Its so smooth. So COD2 is out of the way. I have to enable the sli mode to get it to run. Only thing that sucks is it wont save the setting.

There's a setting in the graphics menu you can change and saving that should save you from a console edit every time you wish to play.

Is it just me or are you just another noob not able to figure things out? Anand and Firing Squad's crossfire setup worked perfectly fine. Stop trying to fan the flames against ati. Ati is just competition for nVidia. If they weren't there, nv would be charging incredible amounts of money for their products. Competition is good. It lowers prices for us, the consumers.
no pref increase, refresh problems, no fps drop when settings turned up... Sound like vsync problems, heres what you do in the catalyst control panel, make sure vsync is set to "Always Off" and try that, that is what seems to be your problem here 
the flickering is probley vsync, but i enabled it in every which way and still there. im just gonna say thats it. Its only annoying in windows when u do stuff. In gmaes its fine. I reformatted windows x64 by the way and reinstall my gmaes. perfect. Everything runs amazing. COD2 1280x1024 MAX and video card on 6x AA (Adapative), 16x AF HQ. It runs at 91cap almost all time. So smooth
Quake 4 i run same settings on ultra nad at cap all time no matter where i am (indoor or outdoor). Im gonna get another liquid cooler for my crossfire card and overclock both them to 700/800. =)
