Crossfire with 20+30+20 display setup?

Tried posting this in the display forum, but perhaps this forum is the more appropriate place to ask.

I'm looking to setup a 20+30+20 display configuration for combined work/light gaming. I'm looking at Dell 2007FP (portrait) + Dell 3007WFP-HC (landscape) + Dell 2007FP (portrait).

Can you suggest an ATI crossfire video card configuration that would drive these displays? Ideally, the two cards will drive all three monitors during normal work/browsing, then in gaming mode run in crossfire mode to provide maximum processing power to drive the central 30 inch monitor exclusively. (Please note I do not want to extend the desktop to all monitors during gaming, such as with eyfinity. For gaming I would prefer better fps and graphics quality on the single center monitor to the increased resolution spread across three monitors offered by eyefinity.)

Is this setup plausible? Any specific recommendations or wisdom?
 
Yes it is possible, and you shouldn't really have to do anything special

A standard crossfire setup will support 4 monitors with crossfire disabled or 2 monitors with crossfire enabled.

It might be a bit of a hassle having to constantly disable and re-enable crossfire though.

I run a similar multi-monitor setup but I just bought an X1300 PCI card to handle the extra monitors so I don't have to constantly disable and re-enable crossfire and so that I can watch TV and have ventrilo up on the other displays while I game.
 
you may want to do what GotNoRice has suggested, and go with a 3rd card to run the secondary monitors, as that will definately be much faster in general for swapping between general use and gaming. I run 2 17" crt's off my 4850, and gaming while watching a movie or something is great... you might also want to have a secondary monitor or two open at times while gaming, for guides, or system status, or even chat programs or the like.
