Just installed myself and ran JC2 bench again... and you are right. These rock for me as well! On single screen, 125.27 average. Running Eyefinity bench now. This is gonna' be fun... ;)

Update- gotta' find my old JC2 "eye" bench, but I know I gained a few...54 now. ( This is at 5040x1680...I also just ran 3480x800- 74 fps on that one)I think I was around 47 before. (I I THINK I was running OC'd on the first one- these are stock GPU speeds for the ROGs! ) :D

Awesome......now it's time to enjoy these cards! I installed all new fans this weekend in my HAF 932, and I have a Corsair HX850 and 8GB of G-Skill Trident DDR2 PC2-9600 :eek: getting here wednesday......should help stabilized the high performance and finish this build off nicely!

Exciting!

I am hoping to get some time before the weekend to drop in that little Antec Cyclone to go in between the ROGs, and finalize my "gaming clocks". (Settled in around 985, but if I can get temps to my liking vs. fan speed, I'll be OK at 1000/5000).

Think I may pick up Metro 2033... looks kinda' cool, and I am very curious what kind of performance I can get out of it with these.
 
Well....

After updating to 10.6, I noticed Crysis and Warhead weren't working, and I kinda' wanted to give those a whirl again. ( the game and the benches would crash immediately and require a ctrl/alt/dlt).

So, I figured I would go back to 10.4, since those worked great for me for quite a while.

I am now in BSOD HELL! It started in the middle of the 10.4 install, and ended with it being so bad, my machine wouldn't re boot wothout a crash. Just a loop od BSODs. (even safe mode crashed when I tried that.). So I uninstalled the drivers, yanked the 2 ROGs, threw in an ATI 7XXX POS I have for emergencies, and it's booted up and running just fine.

I am HOPING once I use DrvrClnr Pro and wipe all traces of the old drivers, I can get back in action. I have never had a GPU/Driver issue like THIS before. Yuck!

Also check out Driver Sweeper. If the driver cleaners don't work can you do a System Restore? And you're not the first person to have issues with 10.6...

I actually had DriverSweeper first, and switched to DriverCleaner Pro on the advice of a couple of forum members.

My system restore was OFF, so I am screwed on that front. Once I get everything back to normal, I'll enable that and mabye that will help. Although, it was so bad I couldn't even get in to windows TO system restore if I wanted to (and could) . Just a constant loop of BSOD and restart...

Gonna' try some stuff tonight, and see if I can get 10.4 back and stable again (what I was using when I was stable before...)
 
it could mean the new driver have some conflict with the old one that you do not aware of.

I have exact same issue when I revert using nVidia's 257 back to 197. driver sweeper did not work for me, I have to reformat everything again :S

Well I am HOPING that is not what it takes, but that is of course my last resort...

I just dropped one 5870 back in, booted back up, installed 10.4. Finished, with errors, and upon re-boot, boom, BSOD. Damn.:mad:

To no avail... I cleaned EVERYTHING ATI , Drivercleaner Pro and Driversweeper, shut down, installed ROGs, boot- instant BSOD again. I give up. Backing up, and re-formatting this weekend. What a let down.

Ugh. Sorry to hear it man. These driver issues are really unacceptable. I mean, seriously, what other software these days will routinely cause these types of problems?
 
Thanks guys-

after some digging (and advice form my tech-guru buddy), it turns out my consistent BSOD error is usually a disk issue... Running CHKDSK now on both SSD and data drive. Wish me luck- mabye I've been chasing the wrong issue...
 
Good luck, keep us posted...odd that it BSOD'd with the ROG cards but was fine with your older card, though. These kinds of issues can be extremely frustrating!
 
Well guys...

Wish I had good news, but alas, I do not.

After running dskchk on both drives, and wiping everything I could ATI, I re installed my ROGs aoling with 10.5 drivers. Everything seemed fixed... played some BC2, ran some AVP and JC2 benches, and then worked for about 4 hours with some video files for my work for the weekend.

Sometimes I hasve to re boot to finish a video render, so I saved, restart, and BLAM- same BSOD. Then it was DOWNHILL from there.

About to nuke both drives and re install Win7...
