I was hoping one of you crossfire folks could help me out. I'm an nvidia convert to ati now with the 4850 and want to go CF. I can't figure out how the ati CCC works with profiles? Are there no built in game profiles in this thing like in nvidia drivers? How do you enable crossfire for certain games? How do you know whether a game will work with crossfire? How do you set custom 3d profiles for games? If I want one game to run 8x AA and another to run 4x then is it possible to do that with these drivers? It seems to be an all or nothing type setup with the ati drivers. Does the crossfire tab only become visible when it sees 2 cards? Any help would be appreciated.

Also after hooking up the crossfire bridge connector between the 2 cards does it matter which card i plug my monitors into?
 
Come on guys, there are tons of people here running crossfire that could help a brother out.
 
Catalyst Control Centre is a pretty worthless piece of shit. Set CCC to use the in-game settings and adjust AA and AF options in game. That's what I do.

Yup, same thing here...

I plugged my monitor into the card in the top-most slot.
 
So there are no game profiles for crossfire? How do you know if the game supports it? Looks to me to just be an install of the card and then click crossfire and that's it.
 
if you want it to be more complicated, i guess you can go fool around in the registry or something.
 
In the CCC there is a setting called Catalyst A.I. Turning this on enables game-specific tweaks that ATI writes into the drivers. I turn it off because it causes microstuttering in my mismatched crossfire setup, but give it a try.

I haven't heard of a game that doesn't support Crossfire...
