Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This may be a stupid question, but can you crossfire a 3870 with a 3850? Or would that cause problems? I thought I had read you could do that somewhere, but I don't remember for sure.
I know they make 512mb versions of the 3850 now also.
Both cards will run at whatever clock speed you set them at, but the Crossfire drivers will reduce usable RAM size to that of the lowest capacity card.
If you run a 3870 and a 512mb 3850, you'll be a bit behind two 3870's in raw performance.
If you run a 3870 and a 256mb 3850, you'll basically have the same performance as two 256mb 3850's.
