First my system specs:

AMD FX-57
Asus A8R32-MVP (Bios 0404, thought same issue on 0311)
ATI X1900 XTX
ATI X1900 Crossfire
2Gb OCZ PC3200 Platinum
Audigy 2ZS
NEC 20WGX 1680x1050 @ 60Hz
Windows XP SP2, .Net 2.0
700W FSP Power supply, Crossfire Certified

When I run Oblivion, I see a huge increase in framerates when running in Crossfire mode, it's amazing. But when I run CoD2, Tomb Raider Legend or Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (Demo) I see no difference in my framerates between Crossfire and single card mode. I'm using fraps to record framerates. I might see 1 or 2 fps difference, but I think I should be seeing a much higher increase in my frames per second with a Crossfire setup. I know that Oblivion has an AFR profile, not sure on the others. Even if they don't have one though, either the supertiling or the scissors mode should be in effect and giving me a performance increase. I'm not seeing any. I've tested this with both AA enabled and disabled, not going above 6x as I realize this enables SSAA and disables any performance increase in Crossfire mode. Am I missing something here? Can anyone explain why I am not seeing any benefit to having Crossfire with any of these other games? I know it doesn't make much difference at lower resolutions, but isn't 1680x1050 high enought that I should be seeing some performance increase?

I dunno if tombraider or graw have crossfire support yet since theyre pretty new. COD 2 on the other hand should benefit from it, have you tried turning on that sli option in cod 2? Might help with the fps some if its on.

I have tried using the SLI option, didn't make a difference. BTW, it was just a Multi-GPU option in the demo, they changed the name for the retail product. I thought that if there wasn't a profile, that Crossfire was supposed to use it's Super-Tiling mode and still give a performance increase. I had some one in another forum tell me to rename the .exe file one that is known to support Crossfire and it should work.

I just ran the GRAW demo, with and without Crossfire, running at 1680x1050 and ATI standard settings at "Performance" and Catalyst AI to"Advanced" and all the in-game stuff cranked to max. I generally use Advanced AI for best Crossfire performance in SM3.0 games, and that's the slider that gives you (limited) control over which of the Crossfire modes are used.

It was noticably faster in Crossfire, and both cards were getting worked pretty good according to the ATI Tool temps with Crossfire enabled.

Didn't use FRAPS, but the performance difference was immediately noticable in Crossfire. Little tip, crank up mouse sensitivity to .75 or higher, drastically changes the feel of the game...at default mouse sensitivity, controls are so sluggish it feels like bad framerate.
