Hi

Wonder if anyone can help me.

I currently have a Asus P6T SE motherboard with 2 5870 cards connected.

The only concern i have at present is that there is no clearence between the two cards and can see that my main card is hitting nearly 90 all the time.

Can anyoe suggest an alternative motherboard that i might be able to give the two cards a bit more clearance.

I was looking that the Asus Rampage 2 extreme as it seem you can use the 3rd pcie lane so could split the cards but does anyone else have any better suggestions?

EVGA X58 SLI "Classified"

Gigabyte EX58-UD5

just to name a couple. I'm sure there are a couple other evga boards you could also use.

Did you turn up the fan speed on the master card using ATI Overdrive? That would be the best solution if you haven't done that. I run mine at 50% and they rarely go over 60C.

I also read another thread here that you could put something between the two cards to make a gap so the main card can breathe a little better, worth a shot and see how much of a temp drop you could get.

Get the EVGA x58 Classified. It supports Crossfire. Nice spacing of cards.
