If I already have an unlocked 6950 (SAPPHIRE 100312SR Radeon HD 6950) and I purchase another, same vendor different model apparently, will it still work? The model I have does not exist any more but I assume the current model (SAPPHIRE 100312-3SR Radeon HD 6950) should work correct? As long as I unlock the new card as well.

Thanks.

Yes you can crossfire any two 69xx cards together as long as they both have a crossfire connector. There are comparatively few restrictions on crossfire compared to SLI.

Thanks for the quick reply, I built an SLI box a long time ago and I remembered it being a PITA glad to hear CF isn't the same way.

Crossfire is stupid easy... as long as the Crossfire connector lines up.. yo uare golden.

You will ike the 68XX series in CF... they scale VERy well.
