Crossfire always disabled after driver update

Every time I updated my AMD drivers, I find that CrossfireX is unavailable and the second card shows up as disabled in CCC. Crossfire cable is connected. And it seems like the only way to fix the problem is to uninstall the drivers and run Driver Sweeper/Cleaner, then reinstall the drivers again.

Annoying thing is, I have to repeat this, every time I update the drivers. What's going on, this normal now?

It's normal for crossfire to be turned off after a driver update, but it's not normal to have to fix it the way you describe. I normally just flip it back on in CCC and am good to go. It's not necessary a bad idea to uninstall/sweep your old drivers prior to an update anyway.

Gotta restart windows after a driver update or else the crossfire section will be grayed out. If that doesn't work then uninstall the old driver then click no when it asks to restart then use driver sweeper to completely clean out the old drivers. It will ask you to restart then click yes then when you come back into windows just install the new driver then restart. If you have crossfire then install the crossfire profiles then restart again. Should be set.

That's not normal either. My Xfire is never disabled after a driver update. I always use the express uninstall everything ATI when changing drivers so maybe that is why.
