Crossfire 7950 BF3 2560x1440 problems?

Can anyone chime in on this article? I wanted to go crossfire 7870 or 7950 but after reading this article it looks like at 2560x1440 or above crossfire really sucks...

I have two 7950's at 1080p and 120hz and the performance is amazing. I cant speak to that resolution but running at 80-120 fps on ultra is buttery smooth.I would say those other benchmarks were with older drivers.

Aw OK. So it looks like they just had bad drivers in that review. Now which cards to crossfire, 7870 or 7950..

I would say thats probably what it was. All depends on your needs and what kind of money you want to spend. For BF3 and if your wanting to run ultra settings I would say 7950s. You can overclock them to a level of 2 stock 7970s in xfire. If you go 7950s I would look into the sapphire OC card. I have two and they are awesome.

Sapphire OC is the best 7950 out there atm.
