OK got posted in wrong section first time. I have a xfx 6970, got given a stock sapphire card for birthday today. Should I return the sapphire card for another xfx card or will it be fine???

They'll be fine.

EDIT: Just know that if they are running at different speeds, the faster card will slow down to match the slower. But if they're both stock, you have nothing to worry about.

there was no reason for moving this thread/making a second thread.. 10 seconds of using a little google-fu would of found the answer..

it will work fine.. the only difference would be clock speeds.. both cards will run at the slowest of the two cards clock speeds(if they are different). or if you were to mix a 6970 with a 6950 it will limit the 6970 to the same shader limit as the 6950.. same with the 6870/6850 and so on and so on..
