It’s a clear case of Patch Tuesday envy that drives Oracle to release so many security patches. There’s no way Java could need that many critical updates. :D This one will get your attention with critical patches addressing 40 vulnerabilities.

Oracle ordinarily releases Critical Patch Updates four times a year on a set schedule, but this will already be the fourth such update issued in 2013.

OMG! going to uninstall ASAP. Adding no JAVA in my description. :D

Me rolling on floor screaming at the JAVA gods "Why?"

Shit I may even stop drinking is as well.

What do you guys do when some websites don't work?

You're probably thinking of Javascript, which is different. Java isn't really used that much anymore and it seems the only time it is encountered by most people is for Minecraft. This isn't the 90's where Java Applets were trying to take over, they've pretty much gone extinct and everything now is done through Flash. You can safely uninstall Java and not miss it. You'll be that much more secure and not have to deal with the arms race of exploits.

Why does my company have to keep using products that use Java :( Symantec EndPoint Protection, Kronos, Sentillion SSO, etc. If it wasn't for work related applications/websites I wouldn't need that garbage on my system... or the 12000+ devices in my division that we have to keep patching....
