Critical Intel Update?

Nevermind, I installed this patch, and when I tried to quit WoW, it just stuck there. When I uninstalled, WoW was fine.
 
If it ain't broken , don't fix it.

That's a golden rule.

Who knows what corner case they discovered , you have to do 100 things in a perfect succesion and "maybe" something will happen.

Of course , the press blows the BS out of proportion.
 
Woof, glad i didn't install it yet on all my C2D boxes! I downloaded all the flavors, there are 32 and 64 bit versions for Vista, W2K3 Server and Win XP. I'll hold off until more brave souls report back. :p

Hmmm o_O not sounding good, when I get my rig to be from newegg I might skip this "fix" for a while. :D
 
Well I downloaded it and everything seems fine.
Including WoW and all my games so far.
 
I've noticed a problem where if I have several programs running, especially one stressing CPU and vid card, if I open or bring up another window my system will freeze for a moment and the sound will be looped over and over.
It usually corrects itself after a minute.
This still happens after this patch.
I have everything overclocked, does anyone know what might be causing this?
 
I didn't have any problems before or after I installed the patch.
 
Installed it, and Windows boots about 35 seconds faster and everything seems a little bit more "snappy".

That's weird?
