creative x-fi fatal1ty w/case inputs

What do I need to do to connect my x-fi fatal1ty to my front panel audio ports? (Antec P182) It has connectors for AC 97 and HD Audio, but it doesn't look like there's anywhere to connect them to the sound card. Would it be possible to use motherboard sound connectors to enable this?

You need to mod the connector to work.

It's been a while since I modded mine for this, but it can be done. Be forewarned, it involves ordering a few parts from Mouser/DigiKey and making a custom adapter.

I did, though I regret it now. The sound quality sucks. There's a constant hum that cannot be eliminated no matter what. Do yourself a favor and just use the jacks on your sound card. If you need something to allow you to have speakers and headphones connected at the same time, get a Plantronics switch.
