I am running prime95 to test my overclock and can hear my speakers make a buzz sound then go like clummpp and sort of ''restart'' themselves the control pad on my z680 shows stereo for a split second and then goes back to dolby digital but no sound....
I have to restart the pc sometimes it works other times i have to disable the x-fi device reboot and then enable and reboot again which is annoying could it be my card itself?

yes.. lol or maybe its done it at other times while i didnt have audio coming out of the speakers because they were off or something but that i notice only when i do prime95 testing it fucks with the audio

Same thing is happening to me while gaming. I lose all audio and have to reboot to get it back. Sometimes my machine will lock up afterwards. Doesn't blue screen or anything, it just freezes. Have to hit the restart button to get it working again.

I'm running Titanium HD -> receiver and was running into alot of issues. I'm going to copy/paste this, and see if it helps at all...

Got it working!!!.. Found some great info at guru3d.com (shameless obligated plug). Used both driver sweeper and crap cleaner after removing all creative software via CP->Programs. Rebooted, then ran both again to ensure removal. Installed PAX PCIe Titanium HD Driver Suite v1.00.7z.

Link: http://dl.technewshw.com/driver/PAX/...ite V1.00.7z

DDL and DTS all enabled via optical, Incredible improvement over standard driver set. Really need to give a "thanks", and another shameless plug for the PAX driver set. Just make sure EVERYTHING related to creative drivers are removed..

I cannot recommend getting rid of the stock driver suite enough... Any residual driver software will screw your "clean" install up, and there is a lot of left over crap even though you manually get rid of it via CP.

Order: 1) Manual deletion of everything creative. 2) Run DriverSweeper, get rid of all things Creative. 3) Run CrapCleaner (CCleaner), registry, and continue to remove all things Creative. 4) Reboot (Don't do it even though your PC will prompt you to do so during manual removal). 5) Install PAX driver via link. For me, it was a night and day difference. Good luck, hopefully this helps.

Drivers didn't fix it for me. Computer is otherwise stable. Wish the damn thing would blue screen so I could get a crash dump.
