though I cant help you with any specific problems as I dont own your sound card, the KX drivers make Creative cards usable. I use them with my Live with Live drive box. Works fairly flawlessly and has more features

BTW: I bought mine for $867 not including the monitor, ram, and speakers..about 7 months ago..it plays hl2 on 1280x960 on High so i'm not complaining. :D
 
I thought I could help. It's going to take a bit more effort than I thought though. I don't know if I have the stamina. ;)
