Does your card have the front breakout box? if so it should have come with the cable. If you mean the front audio jacks on a CD or DVD drive you should be able to pick up that cable at any computer store.

yea i mean the case audio jacks

only the high end cards came w/ breakout boxes, and my buddy doesn't want one.

so we need a cable to connect the Audigy and Audigy 2 to the front of the case. yea.

to use the front audio jacks on your case, will require only changing jumper settings on the motherboard, refer to the motherboard manual on which jumpers need to be set.

edit...........my bad, some reason I was thinking about onboard audio at the time

no way in hell i'm touching that.

why have a thing like that if no cable exists?! wth....

Exactly the point.
If they sold the cable there would be little incentive to buy the premium versions of their cards right?

Same prob, I just plug headphones into my speakers' wired remote headphone port, and use my headset/mic for Team Speak on my onboard sound..

I can definitely hear the difference between onboard sound and my Creative X-Fi...but then again I have 300 dollar headphones.

It's not that much of a rip off. With a $15 off new customer coupon you can get the thing for $58 bucks w/ free shipping. It's not a total ass rape because you get the headphone jack + extra connectivity (few would need it) which IMO is worth $20 for the cabling and solder tools you would need to build your own. $15 for not needing to build the cable, and $20 for the nifty remote, $10 for being able to have a front panel mic port, and $5 for having the assured audio quality vs a DIY cable that is cheap and probably won't sound good.

yeah, you've got to make your own cable... I bought all the connectors to do it and spent about $20... I got the headphone out to work, but not the mic in...

The solution is very DIY, it took me a few days to get all the info i needed to complete the project. Basically the best you can do is get the headphone out to wokr, and a very weak mic in, from what i understand. It's not the connector shown, it's actually the white one near the top of the cards (near the jacks on the card)

Well, they DID finally release the front panel with cable for the X-Fi Xtreme Music. Albeit for $80? or so... Could just buy a platinum for that price.

Guess they'd rather just have people go with an x-fi than upgrade their audigy!
