New DAC/amp from Creative with up to 7.1 virtual surround for headphones, now with Dolby decoding (so it is compatible with consoles). Still no chat support on Xbox.

This is basically a cheaper X7. So they now have the E5, G5, and G6 in this form factor, which seems like a crowded product line when they all basically do the same thing. They could have just put all of this functionality into either the E5 (which is portable) or the G5 (which is not) but hey, gotta sell new products!

I ordered one, will leave impressions here when I get it in early September.
