creative labs audigy 2 platinum problems please help

I got this audigy 2 from a friend of mine he has upgraded to an xfi now when i turm the volume in windows or the creative software to 100% and then turn my speakers up a lil the whole left channel gets all sounding like there blown and the right is fine now when i turn my speakers to max and the sound in creatives website to below 65% its fine any thought. please help this is pissing me off.
I just tried it unplugged my speakers and plugged my headphones only into the sound card and it sounds perfect.
