What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the Gigaworks 750 but I'm also looking at the latest from Klipsch. I've got an original Audigy and I figure the speakers, themselves, are developed enough such that they'll last me quite awhile, even as a HTDT in a small to medium sized room. The computer will be upgraded sooner or later and I'm looking for speakers that'll last.
Bass isn't too important to me and those tweaters appear impressive. Problem is I haven't been able to find the S750 on display anywhere... haven't seen the Klipsch or even Logi 680's for that matter.

Thanks.

I have the S700 (the 5.1 version) and they are awesome.

they're just as good as my old Klipsch 5.1 Ultras if not better. ;)

Can't really help you with the S750, but I've got the original Megaworks 510D's that I still think are impressive. I'm also planning to upgrade to the S750's as soon as I get some spare cash laying around and Dell gets one of those sales going so that the price drops to under $350. What speakers do you have now? (just for comparison)

Just a note though, the S750's are a 7.1 system and you won't be able to really take full advantage of them with the original audigy, since that's 5.1. They can do some upmixing, but that's still not the same. You sure you wanna do 7.1?

But you said you're upgrading soon, so I'm assuming you'll be getting a 7.1 sound card as well.

The speakers will outlast my computer, 7.1 is not an issue.

I'm just torn between the S750, Klipsch Ultras, and maybe a smaller home theatre bundle. I know any of these will be better than what I'm currently using (soundworks 2.1's from way back when they were new circa '98) since I've hears 560's and some good home theater systems. Just having trouble finding 7.1's or klipsch on display.

Errr n/m. Found a pair of Klipsch promedia 5.1's for $300CDN (like $200USD). So far so good. Thanks for the help anyways :)
