Last time I looked 4 months ago anyways creative drivers were sucking hardcore they didn't even have a good interface for audio settings. Have they come out with anything better for the Audigy 2 series?

The latest Audigy release has an updated CMSS algorithm which some speculate is a port of the X-Fi's implementation.

Not a flame at all. I acutally own two of their products (Xfi-Plat-Gigaworks) and their driver support sucks! I lost my cd unfortunately and they only have the updated drivers on their site. Just pissed off a bit

Maybe I got a bad card, but it completely ruined my system. I've had some errors with it, but that one was the most blatant. As soon as I put the sound card in (I didn't install it at first) it BSOD the first reboot after installing the software for it. No matter how many times I rebooted, it messed up.

I'm gonna send it back for something else, I'm not sure exactly what yet though.

From my experience, the creative driver updates are somewhat akward, but once you get them setup, they are very stable and useful (if you know what not to install and vice versa). I just wish they could offer everything from the cd online.

There's a cool program, I forgot the name, something about a mule or a torrent or something of that sort. Maybe they could help solve your problem?

Well at least this time around the Autoupdate feature at CL works very well, at least for my X-fi. Back with my live and A2 it was a crap shoot as to whether it would install updates right. You might want to check the CL forum tho, theres a thread with links to many of the driver CD's for the various cards and maybe someone has posated a split up version. Since you seem to have gotten a bad CD 3 other options. 1) contact CL, but I'm assuming you already did, and ask for a replacement disc or 2) If you bought it at a retail chain you can go to the store and they might do a swap of disc's or 3) just ask them to burn you a copy from one on the shelf. BB did that for me once when I got a bad driver disc a ways back.

Lost drivers is NOT what the first post was about.

Sorry, that's BS IMHO. The only Driver from the Audigy that sucked was maybe the Audigy 1, Not 2 and not 2ZS. Even the New CAC or Creative Audio Console and Updated Player and etc. works works with the Audigy 2 as well.

If you need a Full Drivers CD, just google Creative XXX Driver CD ISO?

I don't want the drivers cd why would I want the same drivers that came with my card. The audio console didn't even work and when I went to use the new drivers they just sucked my nforce 2 onboard sounded better. I am looking for something better and wondering if they have improved the audio console cause last time all the new drivers were in beta.

Choose the minimum install and then update the drivers. Your problems are self inflected. Simply follow the instructions and you'll have fewer problems.

Maybe you need a BIOS update? That's a pretty old board. Honestly good luck and I'm not trying to be an a-hole or anything.

works fine for me since the first day I got the card. Audigy 2 ZS, no software installed anything, just the latest drivers and it's umm simple :D
