Profile creation with the CCC:
Ok here's a quick easy run down to doing this. Click each pic below for a full size detail.
0.Set everything in the CCC as you wish it to be in the game or occur in the profile. For example, with Tomb Raider Legend, I set application decides AA, HQ 16x AF and
HQ mips. Then open the profiles manager.
1.Name your profile. I chose "Tomb". Associate it with the appropriate graphics cards by ticking them.
2.There is another sub menu in this section where you may tick each area you wish to have associated with the profile. Example; Display manager, 3D and Crossfire are some of the options to select. I associate the "Color" options area in the CCC with some games. That way when you fire up the profile it may adjust gamma, brightness or whatever you wish appropiately for that application. Then you may get rid of those adjustments via a standard profile you have created for general use. Like my "norm" profile which defaults all color options to zero, application decides AA|AF, HQ mips.
3.Decide how you wish it opened. I have mine set to work with the CCC main menu, from the system tray icon, and via a desk top short cut.
4.Another option is to simply have the profile activate the .exe when you select it from the tray icon menu. Just point it at the .exe as the first pic. One way it will be activated it as pic two, via the drop down menu in the tray icon.
5.Save. Now when you choose the profile via a desk cut short top, the tray tools menu, or the CCC menu it will fire up your game with everything you have set and saved. If I had selected the "hot key" option earlier, that too would be possible. I have a default profile called "norm" that I use for general web browsing and non gaming. I load that when I am done with any game from the sys tray. The process is very flexible. Just remember to set everything in each category(you intend to use) in the CCC as you wish it before you began the creation to save process. I'd create my default "norm" profile first.
So you can have the profile do anything you can set in the CCC. For example adjust bright, gamma and color, saturation, hue, set AA|AF, set Mips, Turn Crossfire on or off, rotate the display orientation, change the refresh rate, etc. Whatever is active and set during creation will be applied when the profile is activated if you selected the appropriate area to associate with it, like ticking the "color" area in step 2.
One final note; make sure your "view" in the CCC is set to advanced so you may see and access all the CCC options.
