Creating a glow/reflection

Basically I'm going to have a person standing next to a giant flaming ball, and I have no idea what I need to do about the glow reflecting off the person's skin. The lighting is completely dark other than the flame. Any suggestions? :( I'm a noob for sure.

Btw, I know this is pretty bad but.. I'm using Fireworks 3. So if the answer is "get Photoshop" I understand. Just wish I wasn't broke right now. ;)

get the photoshop trial off adobe's website :D

when you do that, do a curves adjustment layer,and maybe some highlighting with the burn tool/soft white paintbrush
