Creating a database with Access 2007

Alright here's what I'm trying to accomplish for my site.

I run a football website which is mainly a forum at the time being. I want to create a special section, like a football recruiting database, where I can input all the players interested with there name, height, weight, 40 yd, schools of interest, and if they have an offer in hand.

I have Microsoft Access 2007 on my computer along with an Office 2007 text book I am using for one of my classes in school. At the time being we're not covering databases but in the near future we will. I do have experience in creating databases but I was wondering if there was an easier way or a pre-made template that might fit my needs. I'd rather not completely "design" it myself but if I had to I would.

Can anyone give me some info. and/or a place where I could find a template (if there is even one?) Any info. about accomplishing this project would be appreciated. :)
 
I'm not sure how likely you'll find an Access forms template that is customized to this already, but you could probably find an application from the following: Google, Download.com, SourceForge.net...

Maybe some coaching websites or message boards would have some suggestions, too...
 
For this, i would use access 2000 or 2003 you dont want 2007 format databases.
 
Probably because you'll find less support for it on your web host than for earlier versions.

I'm not sure that Office 2007 skills are going to help you implement an Access database on your web site anyways.
 
Becuase you would be using asp for this, and asp does not have good support for 07 databases IIRC, as they are a diffrent format.
