Ok, I had my system (xp-m 2500, dfi inifity 2x512 OCZ 3500 EB, ocz 420w psu) running really good for 2-3 weeks, today I got bored, and rewired my computer to try and get some better airflow going.
Afterwords, I wanted to try for 2500mhz so i upped the fsb to 250 and lowered the multi to 10. Opps, forgot to change the timings. needless to say booting at 250mhz@2.5-2-2 wasnt going to happen. I tried holding insert to reset to the old values. Didnt work so I reset the cmos.
After reseting the cmos, I set everything back to how it was, 220fsb, 11 multi, 66mhz agp bus,1:1, 1.675v on the core, 3.0 on the ram. Its working ok, for a while. Then I get video coruption and then my computer died.
It just sat there. Pushing the power button did nothing. I kinda freaked out. So I flipped the switch on the psu, took off the door, waited for the LED's to turn off. Switched it back on.
Push the power button, go into bios, load optimized defaults, change fsb from 220 to 216.
Booted up, everything ran fine for awhile , put the door back on, 5 min later, crash. Once again, couldnt push the power button, had to switch the psu off, then back on. Ok.
Got it working fine. Then I goto watch tv, so I put a movie on. Set the comp to defrag, and put the door to my case back on (dont want any of my cats to lick my system or anything). Go into the other room, watch csi, hour later I come back to a black screen with no noise coming from my computer. argh. Here i am now.

So, anyone have any ideas?

if they lick a power lead you won't have to kick them.

Just curious does the door have a fan on it that you're plugging in? if so try it without plugging the fan in. if not, i have no suggestions.

why dont you set it back to 11x200 and go from there...

i would take it all apart, and put it all back together... obviously something is screwed up in there

they chew stuff also ya know
just like my bunny

i had a pet rabbit a while ago, he loved chewing on things, especially power cables and wires... so when he gets behind my computer table, i freak out a lot and its a pain to get him back out... VERY scary, i do not want bbq rabbit

sadly, i ended up giving him to another caring family who had more time to take care of this rabbit, yay less trouble for me

i still have a few cables with teeth marks in them

ok so, i put the door like, haf on, like, it was on, but the botom wasnt like latched on, and i just noticed that today, so i put the door fully on, and honestly, 30seconds later, it rebooted.

anyone have any ideas?
