crashing, system freeze

everytime i get this message from my firewall my system freezes and i have to do a hard reset

"goolge chrome is trying to use windows host process (Rundll32) to access the internet"

"xxxxxxx is trying touse windows host process (Rundll32) to access the internet"

it happened one time when i was uploading a pdf file to my yahoo email and as i uploaded the pdf file the system just froze.

how do i resolve this issue? why is rundll32 causing my system to freeze?
