Hey guys..

My system has been acting weird lately. I have been running vista fine for 3 months, lately I have been having problems.

Basically the system will crash, the screen will go blank (the back light is still lit and the monitor doesn't act like the signal is gone), and the hard drive light goes solid. The hard drive is making seek noises and it will stay like that for some time before rebooting itself. In the past after the system came back I would get a BSOD warning with BCCode 116 which by research led me to believe it was my video card driver. I later had this issue in XP and assumed it was something else. However I did RMA the video card and ran fine for a week, but it's back.

Today I noticed the system came back missing recolonization of my 2nd Ethernet port on my motherboard. With the ethernet port going out I am thinking maybe my 680i is dieing? However, after vista ran a disk check (on it's own reasoning) and a reboot the ethernet port came back. The motherboard LED codes still say FF when the crash occurs.

I should also mention as I read about this being a possible problem on a resarch run, my power supply sounds like the fan is making a clicking sound, something sounds wrong but it's sooo quiet I kind of put it off. I read somewhere that all of this may be warning of a power supply failure?

I have ran 7 hours of memtest as well as 14 hours on ATITool with my old video card (in XP) and encountered zero problems, I have tried three different hard drives as well. All power options are off.

Can anyone please help narrow this down? :)
