I was in the middle of playing a game when my computer just shut off, same kind of shutdown you get when the power goes out. This happens from time to time so I just reached town to turn my computer back on. Unfortunatly when i pressed the button down all I got was a strange little noise... I tried it again... same noise.
When I held the button down, it sounded like the computer was trying to turn on but wasn't getting power. After I opened the case up I noticed that the noise was comming from the powersupply. It sounded like a very electrical noise so I'm pretty sure the powersupply died. Though, the motherboard is still getting power, the mobo light is on, and when I hold the button down the LED's on my ram sticks flash
So, is it just the powersupply or am i dealing with something different. I'm taking the computer in to be looked at tomorrow.
