Crash when exiting Halo

My computer just rebooted when I was exiting Halo. I have a 6600GT running on a 305W PSU (6600GT has recommended 350W PSU) and I don't think my temps were too high. I'm just wondering, if this is a power supply problem, why would it crash when exiting Halo and not while I was playing it? Also, the temp of the video card was around 65C when I checked it right before quitting. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Yes, has only happened once. I am beginning to think it might have just been a software issue, but I don't really know that much about software or hardware, so I'm just guessing.

Ok, I just had the same problem again, but this time Microsoft blamed it on the nVidia card (told me to update drivers). I went to nVidia's website and they said that it could be a number of things and that Microsoft just likes to blame the video card because that's the easiest thing to blame. I don't know what to do, other than upgrade drivers, and I don't know exactly how to do that.

The make of the PSU is Delta. It's in a Sony Vaio. It has dual +12V rails with 18A on each rail and a combined output of 22A I believe, so it really shouldn't have much trouble running my 6600GT since I only have one HDD and one DVD-RW.

Also, could someone please explain how to boot into safe mode, and will driver cleaner be safe for a multi-purpose computer? (I don't just use this computer for gaming, and I wouldn't want to mess up any irreplacable files.)

I have never run into any problems using driver cleaner. Just follow the directions, maybe even print them out or write them down.

When you start you computer press F8 at the BIOS screen or very shortly after the BIOS screen and it will gie you the option to boot into safe mode. What drivers do you currently run?

I am running nVidia ForceWare version 77.72. I upgraded to the 6600 GT from the integrated Intel graphics on my Vaio, and just did what the instructions said (uninstall display adapter drivers, install graphics card, install video drivers) so I might have a driver conflict. Your replies are appreciated.
