Okay, I am building a new computer, and have all the parts except for venice, and another 512 stick of ram. Problem is, I am not sure which stick I got, I know it is a Corsair
Value select DDR400, but I am not sure if it is 2.5 or 3 CAS Latency. Does it matter? I know 2.5 is better for the most part, but they need to match for dual channel to work correctly yes?

I checked my order history at Newegg, but they only have the last thing I ordered from them on there, my video card. I e-mailed them about that, because others I know can see everything they ordered, but not me. Anyway to find out which I got? The model number points to both 2.5 and 3 versions.

because i know some companies use the same SPD timings for all of their ram for example my g.skill 4400 LE has the same spd timings as the LD, but it was packaged as LE and runs LE
