Crap: 6600GT card problem

Keep getting a pop-up saying my Nvidia graphics is not getting enough power and is lowering performance to keep from being damaged. I have an Antec Smart Blue 350W. What's going on?
Athlon XP 3200+
512K RAM

Do you have the molex plugged into it? If so, make sure that molex is working. If that isn't your problem either, get a better power supply.

Yes it's plugged in. The box states it only requires a 350W. I can't afford another Power Supply. Anything else?

Make sure that you have the video card plugged directly to your power supply ( there should be a 4 pin molex connector on you video card )

On second look it only requires a 300W.

Have you checked with a voltmeter to see if that molex is working? Have you tried a differen't molex? If the molex is working then you have a bad video card or powersupply.

huh? is the card working now?
download rivatuner. use the hardware monitor to see what the clock speeds are when you run a 3d app. might just be a buggy error message.

Well a 300 or 350 Watt is only enough if you don't have too much else in your system. If your molex connectors are plugged in you should really get a volt meter to check your voltages.

What all is in your system taking power? That's an important question really.

Try using a differnt molex plug....sometimes PSU's are tempermental about that kinda stuff....make sure it's directly coming off the PSU too (not from a splitter).
