I did a google search and a hardforum search and could find nothing that pertained specifically to what's going on. :E

Lately (the past couple of days or so), I've been noticing a tiny little popping coming from my power supply. I suppose it's more noticable in games, but it could be my imagination, perhaps me worrying that my computer will die and I'll lose my saved game in Empire at War. :)

The voltages look alright:

12V - 11.776 (Been like that from the start, before the crackling noise; within the +/- 5% range)
5V - 4.919
3.3V - 3.296
VCore - 1.36 (Seems to sometimes go a little over, like if I put it at 1.4 it goes to maybe 1.42, but I haven't worried about it, I've got a Zalman CNPS7700Cu keeping my CPU at a nice, chilly 28C :D)

Haven't experienced any slowdowns (except for that one time in Empire of War when I there was a massive number of ships on the screen...but that wasn't the power supply), the thing powers up just fine, etc. Could it be the outlet? This problem seems to have started since I moved into my new room (next to my old one :|).

Any insight is appreciated.

Haven't head an Antec do that. Enermax do that when they first turn on. The "charge" hitting the main transformer makes a tesla coil SNAP when you first flip the AC input switch.
 
Well, this is a constant little popping sound. I tried switching plugs on my power strip, to no avail. Perhaps the power strip is bad, or dare I say, even the PSU (though it's operating perfectly fine at the moment)?

have you considered popping the top (voiding the warranty of course)

and observing it in the dark?

first time I fixed a car, thats how I found a short
(in the middle of the night on a mountain pass with a dead car, my partner and two pissed off girlfriends)

just possible its arcing
 
Well, it actually appears to have stopped, currently. Not sure what that means.

If it happens again, I may open it up. Opened up my old Ultra 500w to see what was making some funny noises, I know the procedure. :p
