cpuidle & prime95

Does anyone know if running cpuidle will affect the results of a prime95 test? I recently put together a new processor ram and mobo and the first time I ran prime95 my temps reached about 60c however, I recently installed cpuilde and now running prime95 my temps are only getting to 45C? (e.g., is having cpuilde running while running prime95 throwing off the results of stress testing my setup?).
