Award BIOS 6

My previous CPU 2GHz P4 the BIOS showed ..CPUID:0F24 PatchID:000F7.

 Now with P4 3.06Ghz it shows CPUID:0F29 PatchID:000>

What does this Patch ID means ?

The patch is a microcode update for the particular CPU. When you eventally upgrade the BIOS, that number might change. It's not a big deal.

Thanks, my BIOS is latest update=F9 for GA-8IEXP Rev 1.2 MB

Does this in any way means the BIOS is still behind for this processor ?, although Gigabyte suggested this P4 with HT only for the upgrade.

I had a few issues with IAA, so just wondering ?

Hypertreading: Burning

If I burn the PC with SISandra and chose CPU-1 for for the program as well as CPU-1 for burning, everything went smooth, and other operations feels free, but if I do the same using CPU-0, other operations feel loaded.

This let me believe that both processors with HT is not evenly used ????
