I just a built a new q6600 system with a evga 680i a1 mb and was running cpu-z and my core speed says 1600 and my multiplier says only x 6.0. but when I use my system it changes to 2400 core speed and the multiplier changes to X 9.0. Otherwise if it is idle it stays at 1600 core speed and multi X 6.0. Is that normal or do i have a defective cpu? Thanks for any advice.
