cpu vent...?

I've noticed that some cases have a vent in the side panel that looks to be right under the spot on the motherboard where the cpu would be, for example the CM 690, does that added spot for a 80mm (92mm...?) fan really help in cooling the cpu from the backside of the motherboard...? we're talking about cooling here, so even a few degrees helps, or people wouldn't buy premium thermal paste...

thoughts...? I am looking really hard at the CM 690 II Advanced right now...

I see it on more cases, but I never noticed a difference with it, it shouldn't be a main factor in your decision on a case.

Every little bit helps, especially if that heatsink mobo bracket is able to conduct heat. Though if I case I had did have that ventilation, I doubt I'd put a fan (that would make the case that much wider).

there should be plenty of room for a slimmer fan inside the case...

there are many more reasons that I like the 690 II Advanced, but that would be an added plus imo...
