hi,
I have AMD 2500+ Barton on NF7-S, and my cooling is Volcano 12 (using it on 3000-3500rpm).
My case is Compucase CI-6A19, 1 x 120mm fan - rear, and 1 x 80mm fan - side.
and my CPU is really Hot for that I think, all the voltages are at default, no OC for anything, and the temps are:
about 42-44 idle, and can go over 50 on load.
is there something that I am maby doing wrong or something i can do to lower the temps?
Thanks,
Asaf.

Normally I'd tell you to go read the damned too hoot sticky at the top of the forum but someone took it down

Your chip is spec'd to 85C case temp. You're at half that. Stop having a fit, have a beer and chill out.

50C is normal load temp for a mediocre HSF like a V12.

If you'd like to drop that temp, get an SLK-9xx or SP-97

Yes, they're more expensive, but they actually work, if you put them on properly.

but I think that something is wrong cause when I first got my comp and installed windows the temps were about 38 and at load it was not more then 45

hmm, how long have you had your computer? while these temps really are nothing to be the least bit worried about, if the temps rise, you can always blame accumulation of dust on the heatsink and fans... clean them up and tell us what happens

Dang! You beat me...

did you put any additional components in the case? Maybe you changed the vid card to a blast furnace-model or something...

They need to leave that sticky. I cant stand people always posting this shit. They have NO problems with the temps they are at, but freak the fuck out on them....stupid as hell. If your stable DONT POST about it.

Also, you are on air cooling... what do you expect?

Also, if you dont have a probe ON THE CHIP, your temp readings mean about shit.

I only have 2 case fans.. and a vantech tmd fan cooler.. what ever it is..

and im getting 37 idle 45-37 load on my barton 2600+ clocked to 2.4ghz

SOMEONE GET THIS MAN A COOKIE!

The V12 isnt a great hsf to start.. not to mention I wouldnt be surprised if you used the generic goo that came with it. Get a good hsf, and some as5, and your temps will plummet.
