Got question about CPU thermal control, I have it to TM2 just incase my CPU gets to hot. I wonder if it actaully will work ( reducing the voltage and multiplyer or what ever it has to do to stop the cpu from over heating) with C1E disable and manual voltage settings. It does not effect my overclocking stability since I have orthos running for like 3-4 hours to test my stable cpu speed and voltage.
 
Ok, I have QX6700 on nfroce 680i board. In the BIOS I have an option about the cpu thermal contorl. Usally when overclocking is good to turn it off, till once you know you reach stability.
I have my CPU idle on 38-40c on load it goes to 65c under orthos. My voltage set in the bios is 1.41 and cpu speed is 3.4ghz. I know is kinda hot for the CPU.
