Hi all,
I just have a quick question,

If I increase the FSB of a P4 3.0 without increasing the Voltage is it going to be hotter than before?

I know that if increase the voltage the temps will be higher but if I increase only the FSB?

Thanks.

The temps will increase, yes, because the cpu will now draw more amps at the same voltage to run at that higher speed, disspitaing more energy and resulting in higher temps. Theoretically, just changing the voltage and not the fsb would not increase temps at all, since the cpu would run at the same speed and draw the same power. However, it is not normally a significant temp increase as long as your cooling is adequate.
