So i recently updated my bios using the software that come with my IP35 PRO, before the update my Q6600 was showing 40C as the cpu temperature. As soon as i updated my bios i went to see what my temp was and it was 70C. The good thing is that it didn't stay 70C for long but now it is stable at 55C. Can somebody tell me why this would happened?

My Striker freaked out with the latest BIOS, it was overcompensating for the vdroop thus giving my CPU more vcore than it needed.

it's quite normal for there to be differences in temp calibration between different BIOS so it's most likely that the actual temp. didn't change at all but the reported temp. did.
On the IP35 Pro it seems that in trying to fix the temp readings on 45nm CPUs that they have negatively affected that for 65nm CPUs.
