This is pretty strange. On my comp's included software temperature monitoring, it says the board temp is at 35c, and the CPU (P4 2.66) is at 45c, but Sandra reports the CPU temp as 75c! Since the monitoring software that came with my mobo was obviously custom for it, I would tend to believe that, but I still wonder why Sandra would report the temperature so high?
 
my favorite way to find out, touch the heatsink
if the heatsink screams, then it's hot, if it's only warm, believe the mobo
 
el: dammit i have to keep saying this. if the heatsink is cold either youre not transferring heat from the die to the heatsink well enough (bad), or youre blowing all the heat off (good). if its hot then that means youre not blowing enough heat off (bad).


dont trust sandra. it just guesses for temps. hell it guesses for a lot of tests too (see: hard drive speed)
 
The mobo software is probably more accurate, that sounds like a normal temp for your setup. Though, I say more accurate because sensors don't always list correct temperatures. Sandra reports it high because it might be reading off of a non existant sensor, or, like kronchev said, just because it guesses.
