I just built a new computer and was wondering what is the normal temp for the CPU? I have two fans (one in the chassis the other directly above the CPU)

thanks in advanced

Depends what CPU you're talking about.

Please list system specs and what your current temps are for your CPU( programs like Core temp will help you do this)

This should help (sry for the lack of info, lol)

+ Intel Core i7 930 2.8 GHz
+ MoBo - ASUS P6X58D
+ HSF - CPU HEATSINK COOLER MASTER RR-UV8-XBU1-GP
+ SSD - Intel X25-M Mainstream SSD
+ GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD 5850
+ HDD1 - Western Digital Caviar Internal Hard Drive
+ RAM CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB)
+ PSU - CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX
+ HDD2 - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
+ DVD DRIVE - DVD±/CD-RW: Samsung SH-S223F
+ Chassis - Thermaltake Element T

i7's generally run pretty hot, but that Cooler Master V8 heatsink should be cooling it well enough, especially if you're not overclocking.

But again, to truly see if your CPU is running to hot, you're gonna need to download a program that tells you the temps ie. Core Temp, Real Temp, Speed Fan etc. one of those would help.
