Ive seen many reports of low power management setting being a cause of slow ssd performance. Most say switch to balanced performance power option and problem goes away. This test keeps power saving but alters only the processor speeds.

Test 1 is power saving setting, CPU min state 5% and max 50% keeps the CPU locked at 1600mhz (all C states are enabled) 1st pic

Test 2 same power save setting, cpu min state 100% and max 100% keeps the cpu locked at OC'd 4.3GHZ(same bios settings purely a windows change)

Random IOPS go from 71K/61K read/write to 98k/91k read/write

is the root cause of less IOPS due to CPU speed?

I guess Im just wondering if this is a real thing and of nvme drives act the same or can be bottlenecked by cpu

Can you tell any difference when you are actually using it for 'real stuff'?
