I will keep it simple. AMD 965, no OC, no extra voltage, with stock cooler, temps 29 to 31 at idle.
Added Hyper 212+ EVO, same case etc. Idle temp at 39 to 41.
I know the argument is don't worry except about the temp under stress, but this does not fit the profile of a Hyper's behavior.
Single fan on the Hyper pulling from front of case towards the back, directly facing an exhaust fan. Second exhaust fan at the top of the case within a couple of inches of the Hyper. Front fan pulling air in. No side fan but large air grill for ventilation. This is not a bragging rig but has been highly stable for months.
Maybe I don't know how to adjust the center screw on the Hyper as it does not seem to do much of anything.
It is properly mounted and evenly screwed down. Used good paste, but maybe my paste application is bad? Used light, light, all over smear with center and near corner dots.
Help!
