CPU Overclock Issue.

I have a AMD Athlon 64X2 3600+ 1.9 Ghz and i have been overclocking it to 2.2ghz and i have no problems. I decided to turn it up a notch to 2.4 and every time i start up my computer it will go to the Windows Loading Screen with the blue bars moving across and then my computer will restart.. Is this a motherboard issue??
My system specs:
DFI Infinity M2/G NF570 Mobo
7600GT 256Mb
2 GB Kingston HyperX DDR800
80GB Western Digital HD
AMD Athlon 64x2 3600+ 1.9ghz(overclocked to 2.2)
Rosewill 550 Watt PSU

although I have never used athlons this sounds like you might not have enough volts going to the cpu. I often found my rig would crash at the very same point in windows loading process and this could be remedied with a bit more juice.
 
now i have another problem.... Now i can't overclock at all. Whenever i start a game my computer will freeze and make a buzzing noise and then i will have to restart the computer/...

please help.
 
when you upped your OC did you slow your ram down some to compensate? It sounds like a ram issue.
